About 

        Louise Coleman is a New York-based dancer-choreographer. Founder of LoCo Dance Company (2026), Louise’s work questions the relationship between mundane gestures and human desires, internal improvisational research and performance, and task-driven play and character building. Her work has been performed at Arts on Site, Green Space, The Craft, and Jack Crystal Theater. She also has presented work in the Pohler Dance Festival and Spark Theatre Festival (2026). She had the pleasure to be the 2025 fall artist in residence with the “Study Series”. During this residency she gained the confidence to found dance company, LoCo Dance Company. WIth the support of the B. Wilson Foundation Grant, she premiered her first sold out evening length work, WAKE UP, in May 2026.  

    Louise received her high school education from Interlochen Arts Academy and received her BFA in Dance from New York University Tisch School of the Arts (2025). In school she had the pleasure of performing works by Annie Rigney, Sean Curran, and BeBe Miller as well as having her professional debut at LaMama, performing "Distances" by Ashley Chen. Since graduating Louise has performed works by Alexis Vinsons, Smith and Co, City Dance, Salvatore LaRussa (NYLA), Celeste Goldes, and Marissa Chen. She looks forward to continuing her journey as a dancer and choreographer in the city.
